After the Haarlemmermeer lake was drained in the middle of the 19th century, two settlements were founded: Hoofddorp and Nieuw-Vennep. Initially, the village of Nieuw-Vennep was called Venneperdorp, getting its current name in 1868. And you can still see that Nieuw-Vennep is genuinely a village. It has a typical village atmosphere, a real community life, and most of the facilities are within walking distance, so you will quickly feel at home here. You will always come across someone you know on your way home after work.
The houses are being built on the site of the former farm De Brecht at Hoofdweg 1428 in Nieuw-Vennep.
